Description
Our full day 9-hour tour starts in the morning from your accommodation in Paris. After 1.5 h drive in a comfortable minivan, we will arrive to a small but very charming village of Giverny which hasn’t changed since Claude Monet was living here for 43 years until his death in 1926. On our way to Giverny, your guide will talk about Monet’s life, his work and his amazing garden which can be seen in so many of his paintings. After visiting his house, you will have time to enjoy lunch (your guide will give you some recommendations) and experience peaceful atmosphere of the village.
After Giverny, our driver will take us to Versailles (about 1 hour drive). During that time your guide will introduce you to the history of Versailles and more specifically to the story of the Sun-King Louis XIV. Our 2-hour guided tour of Versailles includes the King’s and Queen’s State apartments, the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors, and a short walk through the most beautiful parts of the gardens. The tour ends in Paris.
