> Learn the history and legends of the world’s most famous gothic cathedral
> Be astounded by the incredible combination of light and color in the Sainte-Chapelle’s stained glass windows
> Walk the halls of Paris’ oldest royal palace and visit Marie-Antoinette’s cell in the Conciergerie
During the tour, we will discover three major Gothic monuments of Paris: Notre-Dame de Paris, the Conciergerie and the Sainte-Chapelle. All three are located on the Ile de la Cite in the historical heart of the city just a hundred meters one from another.
Aside from the story of the hunchback, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame impresses its visitors because of its refined architecture, stained glass windows, statues, gargoyles and even secret messages written in its stones. The nearby Conciergerie is the best Parisian example of secular Gothic architecture. At first, the residence of the French kings, centuries before the Louvre or Versailles, it was later turned into a terrible prison, where Queen Marie-Antoinette and hundreds of prisoners spent their last days before being sent to the guillotine. Lastly, we will visit the Sainte-Chapelle skipping the long line at the entrance. Although some people consider the Middle-Ages to be a very dark period in European history, we will see how untrue this judgement might be using as an example the world’s most impressive medieval stained glass windows of the Sainte-Chapelle.

“A group of four adults from Texas had an amazing tour of Notre-Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and the Conciergerie. We arrived on time to find Oxana waiting for us at the statue. Though we had stopped at the cathedral earlier in the day on a bus tour, she was a virtual walking encyclopedia of additional knowledge about the structure. We loved her enthusiasm and humor. Sainte-Chapelle was breathtaking, and even on a cloudy day. Great job Oxana!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your passion for history and architecture. We highly recommend Oxana.”
“My sister and I had a tour with Oxana. From the start when we had inquired fairly last minute Oxana was wonderful and helpful. She even accommodated times so we could make our other tour that day. We enjoyed spending the time with her and her bright and fun personality made it very enjoyable. Oxana had a vast knowledge about so much. We learned about the architecture of the different eras, the traditions and so much more. We were very glad we took this tour. We never felt rushed and in fact was delighted at the time she took to answer our questions and explain things that interested us. As we visited other places around France we were able to pull knowledge from what Oxana taught us and apply it to other buildings and places helping us to enjoy so much we would have missed or not understand otherwise. The buildings are beautiful to see but if you can at all hire Oxana you will get soooooooo much more out of your visit and your entire trip. Having Oxana's knowledge made the amazing things we saw go from just pretty things to take pictures of to beautiful sights each with stories to tell. If I get the pleasure of visiting France again I will most certainly be contacting Oxana. Thank you for the wonderful time.”
“This private tour was exactly what we wanted and expected! Oxana was very attentive to our needs and interests. She thoroughly answered every one of our questions, some of which were not related to the exact sights that we were seeing, giving us plenty of background information about Paris and France in general. She was so very knowledgeable about the history, art and architecture of these 3 sights that we felt the tour was worth every penny! Starting the tour promptly and fairly early and having a private tour helped us avoid many of the crowds that we observed were lining up to enter Notre Dame just as we were finishing and going to the next sight.”
