Description

As the Louvre is among the top-3 “visits to be made” in Paris, the Louvre has its own 3 “things to see”: the Venus of Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace and, of course, the Mona Lisa. However, our visit will include much more than these “Three ladies of the Louvre”. In fact, during our visit, I will try to construct a kind of art history timeline for you going from the Greco-Roman era to the very beginning of the 19th century, pointing out the most important and most representative artistic examples of each period. I will also explain why such works are considered to be masterpieces and how they have contributed to the artistic heritage of the world.

Great way to visit the Louvre if you are short on time, or if you just want a more personalized visit. Oxana was a such a delight! She focused on certain areas and themes. It was a packed 2 hours with so much information! She focused on details we would have never discovered on our own. She also gave us great ideas for our next visit!

  4. KEITH SCOTT

She is incredibly knowledgeable about art. If you want to learn about the art, she is a great choice.

A lovely, quick trip through highlights of the Louvre. It was great having an experienced expert take us through such a huge museum! We learned so much from Oxana.

Oxana provided a perfect tour introduction to the Louvre. She did such a great job getting us started in the Louvre and was able to avoid some of most crowded areas. She is very personable and made our tour enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a great start at the Louvre.

Oxana was great in communicating before our visit. We never would have learned nearly as much without her. It was so good to have Oxana guide us skillfully to an entrance without waiting for a long time. This was important because the Louvre had not opened on time this day- strike?? We bypassed the Mona Lisa but saw some other DaVinci art and many of the Greek and Roman sculptures. She speaks beautiful English and is very enthusiastic .

My husband and I did the private Louvre, Versaille and walking tours with Oxana.
She is very knowledgeable and professional and really enhanced our visit to Paris.
Do not hesitate to hire Oxana if you want a fantastic guide.

Oxana took us on two tours. The Louvre and Versailles. There are two reasons her tours are beneficial. First, she knows the lay of the land. She knows where to go and how to get there. Second, Oxana knows her stuff. She can explain the basics and details and then can answer all the questions you have on the tours. Having a private guide adds so much to the time and money you spend to get to these amazing places and Oxana is a top-notch guide. When we return to Paris we will look forward to seeing her again. I can’t recommend her enough.

We really had an amazing visits to these two museums with Oxana. Our group was quite big (20) but she held us together well and kept all the different age group interested through out the tour. (We had from age 13 to 79!).
What impressed us the most is that with her deep knowledge on art and history, she had connected all the paintings to the places we had visited prior to our museum tour with her (Monet house, castles in Loire Valley, etc). It made the whole tour so much more interesting and each painting so much more impressionable. Thank you so much, Oxana, We really would love to come back to Paris soon and have a tour with you again!

    Love from the Hawaiian group

I am travelling with my two daughters who are passionate with arts. Oxana relate all the informations on the history of french arts as if we are listening to an historian. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects. Even gave us the exact dates on art pieces we are interested with. She showed us all the highlights on our 1st day 7 hour tour. We even include musee d orsay on this day. Everything is very comprehensive. She speaks fluent English with very clear accent. On the 2nd day, she toured us to the Louvre museum. The tour to this museum was awesome. She has something on her sleeves that we dont have to go through the long queue. She gave us all the details on the art pieces thoroughly. She’s very considerate, she gave me more time to look closer to the Mona Lisa. She even extend her time to answer all questions from my 2 daughters. To sum up, she is a Gem to the tourism industry in Paris. I would definitely recommend her to my family and friends.
